(October 30, 2013, 6:29 pm)Had a tumor removed this past Monday by Dr. Fortuna and he did a great job! I had a lot of anxiety going in due to my experience with another podiatrist, but he was very knowledgeable and was able to explain what was going to happen and what he was going to do during the procedure as well as what to expect after the procedure. He made me feel very comfortable. The day of the procedure, he did a great job numbing the injection site before inserting the needle, which made the needle numbing very painless. My toe was numb that entire day, which really helped with having me be painless that day. I also very much appreciated that the doctor was very caring during the procedure and respected my choice to not be on crazy painkillers. I went back two days later because I was having normal healing pain, and he was able to re-numb the toe so that I'm feeling much better today. He also did a quick exam of the area to make sure that nothing was infected. I have an appointment on Friday to do another checkup. Great experience with a great doctor who has a great bedside manner and has a lot of experience. I would definitely recommend everyone to go to him! Did I mention that I'm a professional dancer? . . .so needless to say, I am very picky about stuff to do with my feet. I saw 3 podiatrists and 2 surgeons before I decided to go with Dr. Fortuna, and I'm really glad I did!
