I have an annual appointment with him every year and have seen him on several occasions outside of the annual visits for semi-emergency visits. Dr. Schachter is always professional, personable, accommodating, and caring! Quite simply, he is the BEST! I would not have stayed with him for over 40 years if he wasn't. To reiterate this point, his practice is in Upper Montclair, NJ and I reside in Ayer, MA and he is still the ONLY opthalmologist I will ever go to.

(March 17, 2018, 1:34 pm)He's the best. I had a corneal ulcer which Dr. Schachter treated over the course of a month, meeting with me outside of his usual hours in order to ensure I fully recovered. He even called to check up while he was traveling to make sure I was ok.
He's also a great guy, very interesting and personable. I can't recommend him enough.
