  My Mom was at UMC Pitman for hospice care. When I was presented a list of facilities to move her to, I went to the web to get reviews. Many of the facilities had down right scary reviews. UMC at Pitman was one of the only ones that did not have all that many bad reviews. Our experience showed that all of the Nurses and Aids had compassion, respect and sincere concern. As much as the idea of putting my Mom anywhere made me sad and very worried, UMC at Pitman was the best choice I could have made.

  My mother has been at the Pitman home for almost 9 years. There have been many changes since she first arrived, but overall we still feel she is in an very good facility. The staff excels at knowing the residents by name and most are very friendly and concerned. My mother has lost her eyesight in the last 3 years and it was the staff who determined she should move to the first floor. She was afraid to use the elevator and had become more room bound. Now she can get to meals, programs and the med room by herself. We are grateful for the care she receives.

  My mother was here for a year and suffered from dementia. During this time she received wonderful care from the nurses and aides. Thank you!

  This summer my husband was a patient in 3 different areas of Pitman Manor - rehab therapy after a stroke, assisted living and nursing care. He could not have been in a better place in every area. The people who work there are so caring and friendly. It's not just a job to them. My husband enjoyed the food where he dined with other patients and the activities which allowed for social interaction with other patients, staff and family. Pitman Manor has such wonderful care for its residents and a warm and homey feeling that I would recommend It to anyone.

  From the time we walked in to get information about the community, Alice was there to guide us every step of the way. The day he moved in was made as easy as possible & all of the staff was so cheerful & kind. It amazes me to see the staff in action. You never hear “it’s not my job.” If they can’t help, they immediately get the right person that can.
  
  Every staff member knows every residents name & treats them with the utmost respect. I wish I knew the names of the wonderful people dads come in contact with. The Social Worker, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Nurses & Aides are awesome!
  
  Dad says the food is very good & the waitstaff, chef, & Dietary Supervisor take great care to make sure the residents are well fed & happy with the food.
  
  His room is spacious & well lit. The bathroom is so big & has plenty of safety features. Maintenance even hung all of his pictures for him! Dads only been there a week & feels right at home.
  
  A special Thank-You to Alice & the sweet Social Worker who patiently answered many questions & requests for help. It’s so nice to be greeted by receptionists who are so knowledgeable pleasant.
  
  It’s a great comfort to us to know there is always someone looking out for dad. It’s relieved our minds to know he’s safe & happy. We visit dad often & as Alice said, we can get back to being family instead of caretakers.
