(November 29, 2018, 5:51 pm)So this is apparently the oldest craft brewery in the state of NJ. Points for history. We were very impressed with everything. The food was awesome German cuisine. The server (who was also part of the family that owns the place) explained that it used to be exclusively English cuisine. When they purchased it a few years back, they added some German and Polish food to the menu.
I got the German sausage platter. Lamb, chicken apple, and kielbasa. Awesome. It included home made schnitzel.
The decor is very old pub. It's nice. I also enjoyed the beer. The Pheasant Plucker (say that correctly after 3 of them) was tasty. Served cool, not cold, it's a dark beer brewed with molasses. Super smooth and tasty. Great experience. -

(October 12, 2018, 5:06 pm)I am not from this area but it drew me in... Here is a must stop and see destination! When you arrive, stay for a beer or something to eat. Allow some time to appreciate the history this place has and hope Joseph is there to share the stories and his passion for this English style pub. Joseph is the owner and is so knowledgeable, interesting, and welcoming that you just want to settle in and be a part of it all. This is no way a sleepy little bar but a wonderfully comfortable pub. I am sure the atmosphere will draw you in and I cant wait to tell my friends and family about this find.

(September 5, 2018, 8:07 pm)We had a great time. My daughter and her boyfriend from N. Carolina really liked eating there. Everything was very good and our waiter, Jim was very courteous and enjoyable. Would dine there again definitely.
