I would highly recommend this practice! My son is three and knocked his front tooth loose during a fall. We hadn't found a dentist yet so I basically googled the closest place and frantically called at 5pm at night and the receptionist told me to come right in. He was seen immediately by Dr. Kristy and she was so warm and kind it helped him calm down. She gave wonderful care and advice. We had to get the tooth extracted and she gave us the option of doing it then or waiting till the next morning. She fit us into her schedule the next morning despite it being a holiday week. She was so funny and warm with my son during the procedure that he stayed relaxed and did wonderfully. And this is a minor detail, but she knew all the little shows and toys he enjoys and was able to talk to him about some of his favorite characters. I felt that helped him feel comfortable with her. After it was all done he was allowed to pick out five presents from the 'treasure chest'. My son was so pleased walking out of there with his goody bag that he barely cared his mouth still felt numb. Also, it's important for me to mention that not only is Dr. Kristy great but I had to call in to ask a few questions and spoke to Dr. Allen who was also very warm and helpful. The nurses and admin staff were also very kind and friendly. The whole practice is very patient focused with warm staff and dentists. Lastly, I should note that we don't have dental insurance but the out of pocket rates were very reasonable. Needless to say I really appreciate the wonderful care we got and highly recommend the practice. And, we will be returning there for regular exams.
We have been going to Mercer Children's Dentistry for about 2 years now. Yesterday my daughter had to have 2 baby teeth extracted as her adult teeth had grown in behind them. Dr. Kristy and her staff were amazing with my daughter. Dr. Kristy talked her through the entire procedure from the "red nose with popsicle air" to the "gel and medicine to help her teeth fall asleep." My daughter was all smiles during the entire procedure and completely relaxed. She even got a raspberry popsicle when the procedure was over.
When we got home she was happy as could be, in no pain whatsoever and proclaimed the day "the best day ever" and said that she wants Dr. Kristy to pull all her baby teeth. We were impressed that they called the next day to check in on her. They really care about their patients and we cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kristy and Mercer Children's Dentistry. They are amazing!
Fantastic dentists and hygienists! They spend tons of time with my kids to make them feel safe and relaxed. Knowledgeable and thorough. We are all very happy here!
Dr. Allen, Dana, Lynn and staff have been absolutely wonderful with both my sons. My youngest is on the spectrum, and they have been patient and flexible due to his sensory sensitivity. The staff is extremely consciousnesses of my child's comfort, and they are always ready alternative procedures if needed. Due to their thoughtfulness, both of my children are very comfortable going to the dentist.
I started going to Mercer Children's Dentistry when my daughter was very young and "exhausted" three other pediatric dentists in the area. Dr. Allen was patient, kind, and understanding with my daughter regarding her extreme fears about the dentist. We have since moved about 45 minutes away from this practice, but they are so wonderful in all aspects, that I don't even think about changing. Now, when I go into the office, it's like going home to family. The warmth, concern, and compassion of this office is omnipresent.
