  Absolutely the most beautiful part of our kitchen renovation. Jay helped us select the right stone and he paired the patterns with the layout of our kitchen like an artist! Gorgeous material.

  Beautiful, unique and getting better with age. We've been looking to put in a beautiful soapstone counter top for a decade or more! We finally did it and couldn't be happier. Jay is the only guy for the job. Each time we oil it and let it fade it becomes more beautiful. I may never be able to sell my house someday and leave it! Thank you!

  Jay and his team were great. Our entire soapstone purchase/fabrication/install process with Jay at Garden State Soapstone was great. They were professional, did what they said they would do and willing to answer our endless questions. Our soapstone island looks amazing and we are so glad we went with garden state soapstone.

  We found Garden State Soapstone accidentally after having left a granite/stone warehouse we went to that same day to look at some of their soapstone which was about 20 minutes from Jay. After not seeing anything we liked or having had someone there who could answer any questions we had about soapstone, we did a quick Google search and Garden State Soapstone came up. We decided to drive over since we were close enough. No one was at the stone yard, but we drove into the back anyway and looked around. We then reached out to Jay once we found contact info for him online and setup a next day appointment to come back and meet him and go over what we were looking for. The whole vibe was cool. Jay is very cool and down to earth. He knows his stone and he knows his craft. He will educate you and clear your mind of anything you ever thought you knew about soapstone. When Jay came by to template our kitchen space he was super efficient. Literally in and out within an hour. Once our contractor had the place ready for stone installation, which was about a week later, we then scheduled to have Jay come to do the install. He is a master at what he does! He came in with his guys, laid the stone in place and got it set where it should be and gave it a finish. If you're questioning anything, let Jay take the lead and make the placement decisions for you. He knows what he is doing and as far as our finished product goes, It looks great!! For all of you who are concerned about seams, non existent! We have 2 seams as the stone was in 3 pieces-good luck finding them! They are invisible(No exaggeration!). Jay said he was the best at what he does and can say that all he wants because he delivers exactly what he claims. True craftsmanship is what this man provides. Exceptional work for sure! All trades should model themselves after this man's workmanship and pride. Thanks again Jay!

  I have an old house in Jersey City and wanted to do a kitchen that looked both 1930s and modern at the same time. I am tired of granite as you see it everywhere. I decided on soapstone as it is durable and very beautiful. I then checked out the websites for several places. Jay had good reviews and they are well deserved. He is truly into his work and knows the product well. I picked a beautiful soapstone from Brazil. Jay did a great job cutting and installing it. I am really happy with my choice and would recommend soapstone counters to everyone.
