I suffered a severe soft tissue leg injury while surfing which apparently caused plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist treated me with anti-inflammatory drugs, prednisone and a cortisone shot and nothing improved the condition. I was limping for three months with no improvement. The podiatrist actually recommended acupuncture. I began treatments with Dr. Balko and after 8 sessions my foot feels just about healed and I can walk normally. I highly recommend Dr. Balko.

My first visit to the Atlantic Center for Acupuncture was one for stress treatment. It was at this peaceful, calm, welcoming place that, after 30 minutes, I am now on day three of a calm spirit for the first time since before COVID. Right now today as a business owner working on Sunday because a team member resigned, I should be stressed. I'm not. I'm getting it done. Dr. Balko was my last stop, but he should have been my first. Having a history of allergies, more specifically eczema, I quickly experienced much needed relief upon finding the Atlantic Center for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. It took a few visits and I felt much better. Not only did my eczema subside but other allergic symptoms disappeared as well. Dr. Balko is a wealth of information in his field of study. I am eternally grateful for his expertise and patience. I have recommended his practice to others and will continue to do so!

I never had acupuncture before going here and I had some headaches and neck aches. After going to Rob Balko it was 110% better. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to feel better. He’s gentle and a great person and will always try to squeeze you in when he can. Highly recommend!!
