TMJ Physical Therapy

For 10+ years Ive been experiencing TMJ/neck issues that seemed to have a chain reaction leading to discomfort and misalignments throughout my body. I’ve been to numerous TMJ specialists and Chiropractors but only experienced partial temporary relief.

After one visit to Dr. T’s office, I felt a tremendous relief right away.

I found this clinic after researching for TMJ disorder specialists in the area. Dr. T was personable, knowledgeable, and very eager to help since I had been experiencing lockjaw for a couple of days. I have had lockjaw before but never for consecutive days. As a future clinician myself, I appreciated how Dr. T took the time to ask questions and really get to know you in order to provide an individualized treatment plan for YOUR needs. He explained concepts really well which is important so that clients can fully understand the condition. I learned so much in one visit and saw immediate improvements during my first visit (increased ROM of my jaw). I highly recommend seeing him for your needs (esp. TMJ/neck/spine conditions).

Dr T is an amazing caregiver. As a healthcare professional myself I am very cautious and particular when I select a doctor for me and my family and Dr T was an excellent choice. His version of therapy has helped me heal from weightlifting accidents and stupid mistakes I have made countless times. He has personally been responsible for getting some of my own patients off of pain killers for TMJ. I am both a patient of his and a referring doctor so I am in a great place to opine on his knowledge and skill. If you need physical therapy if any kind, but especially for head and neck issues, call him.

I have had a problem with clenching during the day and grinding at night. After a the first visit with Dr. T I already had seen a large improvement with both and things are getting better after each session. He has a total body neuromuscular retraining approach and no treatment plans for each patient are the same. He takes the time to evaluate what your induvial needs and problems are and addresses them. Not only did I see a change in my jaw and clenching, my posture is better than when I started but my workouts are improving too.

I just finished session 6. I walked into session 1 and thought my jaw was broken. Dr. T assured me of the process and that I’d feel at least 50% better by session 6. He was more than right. My TMJ was so severe, it was almost as if my jaw was dislocated. He takes the time to understand me and the root cause of my pain. He understands it’s not a one size fits all approach. I will update as I go through my remaining sessions of the 10, but wanted to put this out there for anyone who is dealing with a fraction of the pain I was. Dr. T is the real deal and knows what he’s doing.
