(November 30, 2018, 12:14 am)The food was excellent, the drinks were interesting and good. But the people working there were the highlight of my visit: friendly and helpful beyond any reasonable expectations. Heck, even the sink in the bathroom is extraordinary here!

(November 9, 2018, 1:51 pm)Love it here. Great food. Bar service is okay. I think the table service is much better. Soups are okay but the black bean burger is my favorite. I like that they have a lot of different food options. Healthy options as well!

(October 24, 2018, 2:04 pm)Went off season on a Sunday. It took a bit of time to be seated (we asked to be seated near a window w/a view). But once we were sat, the server was pleasant, let us now the specials and took our order for drinks and meal. Was served in a an acceptable amount of time, the view was awesome, the server George returned to make sure we were all OK, or needed fresh drinks. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the table staff took 2 of the meals to "doggie bag" while 2of us were still eating. Kinda made us feel rushed. And there wasn't a wait. But overall the food was above just good, and the service is also good! Just don't like feeling like they are trying to get you out fast.

(September 1, 2018, 10:25 am)The windlass is a very nice place to eat or drink with beautiful views of lake Hopatcong. The food is typical Italian fare and is good. Outdoor seating in the summer and fall is great. If you go around sunset be prepared for the sun in your eyes though. The bar inside is boat shaped and really takes up a large portion of the interior but is still normally crowded on weekends. The brick oven pizza are very good and the main reason I go.
