  Great place to visit. There was a harbor seal on the rocks. Breathtaking view!

  This is a beautiful lighthouse and it's so historical. It's a great place to go see and the grounds are well kept. You can fish right off the dock.

  Small park on the North end of Long Beach Island with some basic amenities and the main attraction, ole Barney the lighthouse. The lighthouse is open to the public and can be climbed to get a great view of the Island. There is also a small museum that provides a glimpse into the life of the lighthouse keepers of yesteryear. There is also a small trail around a representative barrier island forest. Parking is free. There is a small information center, picnic tables, and public restrooms.

  One piece of Classic American Heritage... So wonderfully maintained. Beautiful scenery.
  One side you can see the Atlantic Ocean spreading as far as the eyes could see, and wonderful Jersey shore.
  Got to visit this place for both nostalgic and appreciation of great American heritage sites

  We we're trying to get here before 4:30 pm on a sat because I really wanted to climb to the top of the lighthouse. We made it and $3/ person entry fee, 800 stairs on a spiral staircase with 2-3 breaks to catch our breath later, we were treated too gorgeous views and a pleasant summer breeze. The water around was surprisingly blue and beautiful for the East coast.
  
  There's interesting tidbits of information around the lighthouse lens room. Apart from climbing the lighthouse we also enjoyed a lovely walk down the pier.
