Awesome historic place; good informative tour. Unfortunately the state of NJ needs to step up on its maintenance. It is very poorly maintained.
The guide was very knowledgeable and the visit was free
Awesome historical experience to see one of the wartime residences of George Washington!
Great place for quick history lesson. Our guide Hillary was very knowledgeable, patient, and went out of her way to walk us through as much detail as we wanted. This place does not pretend to be a museum, but it does give you a very real sense of how folks lived at the time.
What a hidden gem. Was visiting from out of town, and looking for a historic site to visit. Had a fabulous tour of the house and learned about its history, and Washington’s time here. For anyone in the area with even a modest interest in history, the Wallace house is a great place to visit. The tour can easily be completed in an hour, including the parsonage across the street.
