  My son recently started taking classes and he LOVES it! The staff is great. They are so patient when teaching while making it fun at the same time. I also highly recommend them for birthday parties. We recently had our son’s 6th birthday party at HOL and everyone enjoyed it - parents and children. My son said “this is the best birthday ever” :)

  This has been a great place for our family. My son started taking lessons there when he was around 5. He now has his black belt. He has developed confidence and skills that will serve him well throughout his life AND he had fun doing it. I go there for fit boxing and love it! The staff is great, the facility is great and I love how Hands of Life gives back to the community it serves.

  My three daughters and myself have been training at Hands of Life in Garwood NJ since summer of 2009. Two of the three, including myself, have earned our black belts, with the third continuing to train to achieve it. The school has grown a lot since the early days, but it's still the small family setting as it was when it first opened. There are head instructors, assistant instructors, and even student instructors that have come up through the school's teachings. Staff and instructors are always friendly. My daughters have learned a skill that hopefully they'll never have to use, but I know that they have something now that they can use. You will not get a black belt in 2 or 3 years. Anything worth something in life takes time and effort. You will learn a life art, and that takes effort and perseverance to achieve.

  I’ve been attending FIT Boxing classes for over two years and it’s awesome! Great group of people to worm out with who encourage each other to work their hardest! I have really seen changes in my body and mind from these classes. I feel more confident and physically fit!

  Hands of Life has been so amazing for our son. He started at age 14! At first my son thought he was too old to begin, but quickly found out that he was not. All of the instructors from the assistant instructors to the lead instructors, give each student the help they need to help them advance in the beautiful art of Ryu-Te. The students are encouraged to work at their own pace, which put my son at ease.
  
  The staff is friendly, warm, and always willing to answer questions! Everyone makes you feel like home. Hands of Life has done an amazing job at creating a family atmosphere!
  
  If you are looking for a martial arts school for your child, Hands of Life should be first on your list!
