Scotch Plains Medical Center/Urgent Care

We have used Scotch Plains Medical Center several times for rapid PCR Covid tests. They are fantastic and we are so grateful to have this place close by. They are very responsive and get back to us right away. The people who work there are really nice and helpful.

The nurse was very kind. I did not have a car so she allowed me to stay inside the clinic. The doctor was great very concerned about how I was feeling and why I wanted to take the test. Wonderful staff very comforting and a very nice clinic

I've come for a clearance to get back to work. There was not much wait, and so I was only there for a short time. The electronic questionnaire was a good idea, particularly in this time of Covid. The registration clerk was clear in instructions and my nurse, Carol was very nice and efficient. Thank you for a pleasant experience in this Urgent Care.

Our experience has been great so far.last week both my sons tested positive and I found this place on one of the FB groups.
Scheduling is easy , no long lines , staff is very accommodating , results come back in time
This is the place to go for covid tests.
My son dint have an appointment but I called them filled the form and asked them if they could add him with me and they did even though they had a busy day.
Highly recommend this place .

I’m not big on reviews but when a place really stands out I feel the need to right one. This place is great. For a center that allows walk-in appointments, they are incredibly efficient. The front desk is quick to work out insurance and payment details. Every time I visit I am able to see a doctor with hardly any wait time. What really makes this place stand out though is Doctor Al. He treats his patients with respect, care, and understanding. He listens to what you have to say and explains his diagnosis in a clear and concise manner. It’s so nice to find a truly good doctor — one who isn’t condescending, dismissive, or judgmental.

Another perk of this place is that there is a great pharmacy connected to the medical center. It’s quick and inexpensive. It’s also one of the few mom and pop pharmacies around. It feels great to support the local community.
