  What a gem! Found this place by just passing by. Based on our excellent experience, I knew it was worthy of a review so hopefully more people can find and enjoy it. Kirk the owner is passionate about his store. His pride shows I’m his variety of toys along with a well kept store and his knowledge and customer care is exceptional.

  My boyfriend & I happen to come by The Toy Chest visiting the Blairstown & Hope area..What a awesome store, & a great selection for horror collectibles...Kirk is a great guy & we will definitely be back..

  Such a wonderful jem in small town Hope, New Jersey. The shop is beautifully arranged like a piece of art. Definitely a destination for kids and adults. I'll be back soon.

  Hands down best toy store outside of NYC. The owners are meticulous to find the best toys vintage and modern. As an adult, walking through the store was like walking through my own childhood toys. So many classics. Combine this with the thoughtful purchasing of modern soon to be classics. The owners really know what makes a great experience for kids of all ages. Take the time to talk to the owner, Kirk, and he will enthusiastically tell you the backstories of old and new and what makes each toy so special. In the age of water-downed online shopping and big box stores taking over small retailers, this is a refreshing jewel in browsing a store that was created with the imagination of the owners.
