Great folks, amazing music program, great pre-school, good gym and sports program.
Sermons are easy to understand while also being scholarly.
Very children and missions centered. Wonderful welcoming people.
We're a retired pastor and wife, and we've been around the track a few times. Among the churches we've had anything to do with over many years, Sandia Presbyterian is as good as they get! Excellent preaching by its pastors, a highly active congregation full of caring, compassionate, gifted people, a program with an extremely broad appeal for all ages, Sandia Pres is definitely a 5 star church. I do not attend this Church but I have regular meetings that the pastor was so very generous about allowing us to have in a room not being used at the time we need it & everyone my family has come in contact with, even if just a passing nod & smile, are amazing! Most offer help if needed when not recognizing who we are due to not attending the church & others who are getting to know us make effort to have a conversation even if briefly. My family has actually discussed about trying to attend a service to check it out simply because not one person ever tried to "push" attending services or even asked if we had ever attending a service, they have never questioned us on our religion or beliefs nor "push" their religion or beliefs on us. They also have some sort of teaching program for children. I'm not to sure on ages, hours, days or anything like that but I know the cutest, most friendly & respectful little little kids, like under 5yrs old, come in around the same time we do & I promise you will be forced to smile! Even the parents or adults who are dropping their kids off for the schooling that's being provided are very nice & no matter what they are making eye contact, smiling with at least a nod if not saying hi, how are you, have a good day or something in that manner. No one has walked pass us without acknowledging our presence & that says a lot! I thank God every day for this Church, the pastor & the members I've encountered!
My husband, two daughters and I have attended Sandia Presbyterian Church for a little over 3yrs. We love the vast opportunities they have for personal, and spiritual growth for adults and children. Also, throughout the year, there are opportunities to get involved in the community and do mission work.
If you are searching for a church home, consider Sandia Presbyterian. Check out their website for upcoming events and sermons. God Bless!
