Dr. Schannen and his staff at NM Orthopedics were very kind and took the time to listen to what was happening with my hands. His recommendations and affirmations of what I was trying were very helpful, including a referral to physical therapy to help my hand strength and mobility. This experience has given me hope that I can regain good grip strength and dexterity in my hand to be able to use it for work and playing sports. The physical therapy session was super helpful and my PT Greg helped me to develop a plan to regain strength and movement in my hands with exercise and helpful tools. I highly recommend NM Orthopedics as they provide a kind, friendly, and knowledgeable service.
Dr Gilmore should teach other doctors on how to work with patients. I felt heard and he offered me the best solutions for my issue. I wish all doctors were as empathetic and understanding as Dr. Gilmore.
Doctor Andrew Schannen answered every question, and I had a lot of questions. He went above and beyond with his kindness and tenderness to address my fear and anxiety. I am not a fearful or anxious person. He was amazing. I recommend him 100%. Great job, Doc!
This was my first visit and I was so pleased with the staff. They were friendly and helpful. Dr, Carl Gilmore explained to me what was going on with my knee, he gave me different options. I then asked him for his opinion which helped me to make the decision what would help me. I highly recommend New Mexico Orthopedics.
MA Jessica was extremely nice. Dr Gilmore was personable, attentive and a smooth operator with my cortisone injection. I didnt feel a thing! I really appreciated him apologizing for the wait (which really wasn't that long) and that he'd reviewed my history and imaging from the ER before coming into the exam room. Great team at New Mexico Orthopedics Rio Rancho!
