The Mine Shaft Tavern & Cantina

Amazing atmosphere, just like an old time saloon hall. Excellent service, food was ready so fast. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon around 3 PM.

Wow what a cool place, open mic night was so much fun I almost wanted goug my ears out. But seriously Colleen was so cheerful and polite. She was super slammed and worked it like a pro. The french fries are greatly flavored and the hamburger buns compliment the well cooked meat.

picked up our rental car and the rep recommended we stop here on our way to Santa Fe. SO good we went twice when we headed back down to Albuquerque! Cozy, delicious and honestly, we received such personable and friendly service, both times! Colleen and Carissa made our experience that much better… They manage to balance efficiency and conversation so effortlessly. Happy we met Colleen on our first visit and Carissa on our second visit. And yes, we had the mad chili burger and the fried chili and pecan pie course :)

Nice lunch stop on the Turquoise trail! There’s not much in Madrid in terms of food, so this is about the only choice. Good news is the environment is super cool (old mining bar) and the food is pretty solid. We enjoyed a couple burgers and the fish n chips. Overall, we were happy. The staff was working hard to serve everyone quickly. Easy to recommend.
