  Stopped in for our first, and DEFINITELY not our last visit. Sara was a breath of fresh air with her warm welcome and love of what she does. The most amazing experience we've ever had at a gallery. The selection is wonderful and her customer service was over the top. A MUST SEE when you're in the area!

  Santa Fe is flooded with galleries, but this is the one to actually stop and take some time in. Sara is fantastic at what she does. You can tell each piece is carefully selected because she's felt some kind of connection to it, and she has individual relationships with each artist she shows. My boyfriend is a digital artist, and she was so interested in listening to him talk about his work and processes in his medium, and I loved sitting back and listening to them talk art for a while. I'm more of a "I like art that is pretty and makes me feel nice" person, and she still made me feel welcome and answered my simpler questions without a hint of snobbery that I've felt elsewhere. The gallery is inside her home, which is also a work of art in and of itself. And I can confirm that the art here was pretty and made me feel nice. All in all, a wonderful way to while away a few hours and hopefully find something beautiful to take home with you!

  The Hat Ranch Gallery is the most refreshing approach to acquiring enjoyable art we have ever experienced. Drive out to the beauty of the high desert, enter a home, and learn about artists in the region, their methods, and their subjects. Once you’ve expressed your preferences, more beautiful art magically appears from a backroom.
  Sara can converse about art regardless of your level of knowledge. After all, art must make you happy, and she knows that path well. Don’t miss the Hat Ranch Gallery.

  Hat’s off to Hat Ranch Gallery! Our visit was the highlight of our week in Santa Fe. Our happy little group of four were enjoying our week of perusing the art galleries in downtown but we were beginning to feel a bit of “art overload.” A good friend tipped us off to a “must see” gallery that is away from the beaten path. I am so glad that we were able to connect with Sara West, the gallery owner, and arrange a visit. The gallery is in a very serene desert setting just a few miles down the Turquoise Trail. Sara was a wonderful host; she was so knowledgeable about the history of the area. She also shared the interesting background stories of the wonderful, unique artists that are represented in her gallery. We were able to take our time, ask questions, and leisurely admire the beautiful artwork. We did come home with a few pieces that will be treasured! Thank you, Sara, for your warm hospitality and sharing your “little piece of heaven” with us.

  My trip to Santa Fe at the end of April was a refreshing and surprising treat. Being in Santa Fe for the first time ever, we were given a detailed and historic tour of the area by The Barefoot Gallerista, owner of Hat Ranch Gallery. The gallery was the highlight of the trip and is definitely an authentic and very personal and intimate experience. If you love art and want to experience it in a very different way, you must make a trip to Hat Ranch Gallery! About 15 minutes south of Santa Fe, off The Turquoise Trail highway, this gallery is owned, operated, designed, and curated by Sara West, aka The Barefoot Gallerista, the best host and tour guide you can find.
  
  Sara represents many amazing artists, showing some older work from the 60's and 70's, along with these artists' new works, giving you an amazing look into their differing styles, media and talent.
  
  Along with the beautiful art, Sara makes some of the best food and drinks served this side of the Mississippi! I highly recommend making the time to experience Hat Ranch Gallery next time you are in Santa Fe.
