(February 15, 2022, 6:08 pm)Fantastic trail! Moderate difficulty/incline. About 2.5 miles to the top (5 total when including going back down). Gallo Peak is a off the trail but not too far to access once at the end of Red Canyon Trail. There is cell service at the top of the mountain.
Red Canyon and Spruce Spring are two different trails that you can take as a loop. Signage isn't always clear, so highly recommend looking at more detailed info on these trails before starting your hike. -

(December 22, 2021, 2:19 pm)Great trails. Excellent free parking, bathrooms are at parking. There are camping spots and picnic areas. Also areas to house your horses while picnicing. The trails are uphill trails, with rocky spots and smooth spots. There are a few down trees on the trail, but you can easily get around them. We were the only people there as of 12/22/21. Beautiful trails, they seem to go on forever. There are bear and mountain lion warnings. We will definitely be back.
