My family joined Congregation Beth Emeth back in 2018 and it was a great move. The congregation is very warm and welcoming. My family instantly felt comfortable there. Despite its size, it feels like a family as members genuinely care about others. My son was a Bar Mitzvah at CBE in 2021 and I can tell you that no stone was left unturned in terms of his preparation. His Bar Mitzvah day was a memorable experience for us all! CBE is now part of my life and I'm so glad we joined! The 4th oldest synagogue in the country is worth a look for anyone that truly wants to feel part of the Jewish community in the Capital Region!

Very welcoming and hospitable. My husband and I went for Friday night Sabbath services recently, and the staff was willing to have us stay for the post-service barbecue even though the reservation deadline had passed. The facility has a beautiful sanctuary, and the service was not too long. The only problem was a messy stall in the ladies room, which should have been cleaned up before services. Other than that, we had an enjoyable experience at Beth Emeth.

From generation to generation, family is important and families are encouraged to attend. Little babies, toddlers and older kids are welcomed and encouraged. If you have an interfaith relationship you are welcome. If you are single you are welcome. Please give the fourth oldest Reform congregation in America a chance to meet your needs.

My whole family has a very special place in its heart for Rabbi Shpeen and the supportive TBE community. It was my beloved mother’s house of worship and we’re all doing what we can to carry on her tradition.
