Kaufman Plastic Surgery (GJK)

I was referred to Dr. Kaufman by my gynecologist's office as I had very old implants (30+ years) and the PA wanted me to have a consult. Dr. Kaufman ordered an MRI which showed both implants had ruptured. My explant surgery by him was two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier and am healing well. We discussed all the options beforehand and I decided to continue with just the removal. I am pleasantly surprised at how good the breasts look and how they have nicely healed. He has always been very patient with me and all my questions and concerns throughout the process. I was pretty nervous about the whole situation, but he and his staff are compassionate, professional people. I highly recommend.

Dr. Kaufman has been nothing short of amazing and saved my life literally! I am a breast cancer survivor and he has been with me every step of the way. What I love most about him is his compassion and thoughtfulness. I was included in every procedure and not just told what needed to be done. He actually cares what his patients wants are as well. He will go above and beyond and give his best as a surgeon to meets your needs and wants within medical possibilities. I would choose him a million times over and over. I can’t thank you enough for not only removing my cancer. But also making sure I still feel beautiful when I look in the mirror. You mean more then you’ll ever know! I love ❤️ you doc.

Dr. Kaufman is a highly skilled and caring surgeon. I had the best possible care from him and his staff. Cancer is scary. Knowing I was receiving the best quality care made me as comfortable as possible.

No woman wants to hear cancer, no one wants to hear mastectomy for stage 0 cancer. My experience with Sr. Kaufman was at first skeptical as I do not typically have male doctors for my comfort but, I loved Dr. Pesek and knew they came as a package deal. For two weeks leading up to my appointment I stressed thinking about what type of reconstruction I should have. I walked Into Dr. Kaufman office and based on my age and health he made that tough decision for me.

On the day of surgery I did have complications because my body reacted in a way that is not typical. I had to be admitted overnight and the next day he told me I was the poster child for everything that could have gone bad during reconstruction. I didn’t know how bad I reacted until two weeks later when he showed me pictures. Not once did he make me feel worried or that I couldn’t be “fixed”, we took baby steps. About five weeks later I was up and running and he was thrilled with my progress. There were several times he squeezed me in for appointments, always accommodating.
I don’t want to go through this again ever, but I will feel forever grateful to Dr. Kaufman , Dr. Pesek and the entire staff at St. Peter’s.

Our entire experience with DR Kaufman has been only positive. He has taken the time at every visit to give thorough explanations and answer every question (especially aware of the concerns of the patient’s spouse). He has guided us through the healing process from surgery for the removal of a large area of skin and underlying tissue. One additional note, I NEVER give 5 stars but Dr Kaufman deserves them.
