Albany County Family Court

This place changed my life! Obviously any type of treatment court is going to be difficult however I am so thankful to Judge Cushner, Craig, and all of the other people involved in my treatment plan. I had the pleasure of working with some amazing people who treated me with nothing but respect. They are always there for you. Very supportive and since graduating I got full custody back of my kids and I feel like if I didn't have those people in my corner it would have been much harder. I'd recommend anyone who struggles with substance abuse to reach out. They let you sit in the court room voluntarily for a few weeks just to see how everything is. The Judge is fair. Very honest at times and doesn't sugar coat anything but she cares. The women and men in drug treatment court are like family. We all care about each other. Any addict knows it's not going to be easy but it will be worth it. Just remember the judge will only do what is best for you(even if you don't see it that way at first) Thanks.

I went to the Family Court to submit documents for my case and the lady at the window; Patricia was so very pleasant. It was nice to see this considering the world we live in today. As stressful as this process is, she was extremely helpful and helped put my mind at ease. Hopefully you will be as lucky as me and get her at the window. Thank you Patricia!

Went to family court first time ever, per Colonie police to file an order of protection . Christina, at front desk, was cordial, extremely helpful, professional, and understood the situation and even told me it was common. Made me feel much better. Hopefully, everything is smooth before the judge. Thank you Christina again
