I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my care. Lisa is above and beyond the most incredible midwife in our community. Her practice is very unique and supportive. She offers personalized care to make each individual feel cared for and safe. She offers many useful and beneficial classes to her clients at no cost. The office staff that work with her are wonderful too. Her nurse, Nicole is knowledgeable and kind! Phone calls, portal messages, and email are always answered promptly.

Lisa is truly someone special in the field, and she makes you feel special too! She believes in true informed consent, evidenced based practice and choice. She took me on as a 30 week pregnant 2nd time Mama when I was in a bind finding someone to support my VBAC goal, and she supported me and my anxious husband every step to that finish line. She is compassionate, kind, warm and a breath of fresh air to what I found in traditional OB/GYN offices. I've stayed on with her for GYN care, and that experience has also been wonderful. I recommend this practice to anyone searching for a provider who not only cares about you, but will support you and treat you with the utmost respect and care. I know why she came so highly recommended to me!

My husband and I felt completely at ease by the warmth and personal connection we both felt in Lisa’s care, which I have felt throughout my experience of pregnancy, birth and early motherhood. Lisa possesses such a calming and trustworthy Ora that extremely helped alleviate my anxiety as a first time mother. I found myself looking forward to my prenatal appointments to be able to sit and connect further with Lisa. Lisa has an obvious deep knowledge and expertise surrounding motherhood and birth. This allowed me to surrender my need for control into her hands while I also felt powered to exercise my strength and express my needs. Through my entire labor Lisa was completely transparent and exactly the type of provider you want in your corner. I whole heartedly recommend Lisa as a midwife and I hope that many more women can experience her capable support.

I can't speak highly enough about Lisa and her staff at Empowered Midwifery. My wife and I first met Lisa when my wife was pregnant with our first child and we were so positively affected by that experience that we followed her when she opened Empowered Midwifery. The passion and commitment to the women she serves is apparent, as well as their spouses/partners. I always felt included in the process and Lisa had such a compassionate and knowledgeable way of speaking to my wife and I about the birthing process and the choices we would make regarding it. Lisa had an intimate and innate way of helping my wife explore what was right for her medically, backed by up-to-date research and best practices, but also taking her and her body and her wants and needs into account as well. I know my wife felt more educated and empowered during her second pregnancy and Lisa played a large role in that. Lisa made this already special experience even more so and my wife and I will be forever grateful to her for her guidance. If you are considering Empowered Midwifery for yours or your partners care I would urge you to not hesitate. You will receive a hands on and personal experience with Lisa (or Nicole!) and her small staff that you won’t get at a larger practice where you might see a different person every visit. Again, I can’t recommend Empowered enough, if there were 10 stars, I'd give them!
