  Music and Arts in Latham is the best. All the staff are always so patient and friendly. We have had a wonderful experience with my daughter's flute, from purchase to maintenence!!

  My daughter plays the violin and it was so out of tuned I was unable to tune it. I called up the store and Ross answered and said to come in anytime. When I got there Ross tuned the violin quickly and was happy to help. Great customer service and a nice store.

  I have taken flute lessons with Kyle Moreen of Music and Arts and I highly recommend him as a teacher. He is patient, personable, a fantastic musician and an excellent teacher. He has a wonderful way of listening and finding ways to help you understand and learn the key elements of music: articulation, dynamics, complex rhythms, etc. My playing has improved tremendously in the year and a half I have been taking lessons from him.

  I started piano lessons 5 weeks ago with Gracie. She already has me so far along. I never thought I could do it, but Gracie has made it so easy to understand and learn. We move along much quicker than I anticipated but we never move on till she knows I understand all of the rules and material. Each week she wastes no time diving right in where we left off. She is always encouraging which makes it a very enjoyable learning experience. Awesome job!!

  Recently had an incredible experience here. My children (age 13 and 11) were looking for synthetic reeds for their clarinet and sax. My 13 year-old phoned the shop and spoke with Ross who was helpful and engaging. He informed us that he had the reeds we were seeking. When we arrived at the shop, Ross spoke kindly to my kids, asking about their instruments and current level of play. He got the correct reeds for the kids.
  
  We have also been shopping for an intermediate clarinet for my oldest, and he allowed us to test out three models, offering insight about the specs of each one. While my daughter was playing the clarinet, he asked if my son wanted to try the digital saxophone, which he did. Ross was patient, kind, and totally into the musical needs of my kids. He showed us music books for clarinet and sax that would allow my kids to play together. (Today, my house was filled with beautiful clarinet and sax Holiday music.)
  
  Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this shop and will surely return.
