Free admission and free parking. Several shorter walking trails (1 mile up to 7 miles if you combine several) that are extremely well marked. Easy to get to. Great way to get out into nature for a couple of hours.
Best place to go for a walk in Albany by far. Just beautiful scenery. It's a little loud at the start, being near a highway, but once you walk deeper into the trail it becomes quiet and serene. I will say though, don't do any trails around here in flip flops since your feet will get really dirty. The trails are covered with sand and are expansive, covering many miles with many trail heads to start out from, not just the most common ones at the vistor center.
A great place to learn and hike! All the facilities and staff are wonderful. Lots of trails. Fun for the whole family. Check out their website for events. 👍👍
The welcome center is new and worth the visit. The trails are well marked and easy for every age. The educational posters are worth stopping and reading. Love it and will definitely come back.
