My elementary school, I miss this school. So many good memories. This school is where I met my two best friends and we still talk and see each other to this day. I wish I was little all over again so I can come back and have fun with everyone. Everyday at this school was the best day of my life. My favorite teachers were Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Crosswell and Mrs. Bonacci.

This is the best Public School I've ever being at very responsible with our children and carrying. My daughter graduated from it 2011 and still loves the school.

    A different experience...
I didn't attend this school but I did come here on Friday evenings for almost a year in 1968 to participate in what was "The American Bluejackets" marching band, playing the field snare. An organization that patterned themselves after the U.S. Navy....similar to the "Sea Cadets." This school was designated "Wakefield Station." It was fun participating in drills, parades and field trips.
I remember we would always leave early from Jackson Avenue on the no. 2 to hit the pizza shop that was across the street from the school.
There was also a record shop a couple of doors over that always played the current dance/soul music of the day, music blaring from one of those ol skool "shoe box" speakers outside hung by a nail and string.
One of our friends moved just up the street in 69'.
We came there to visit the same year and haven't been back since.
I just saw an episode of "Parts Unknown" with Anthony Bourdain about the Bronx and had to Google the location referencing a Caribbean restaurant on 223rd street.
Just reminiscing about the old days y'all.
