(November 21, 2022, 2:52 am)Winter trip was fun some animals out but not many with the cold but the indoor exhibits we're awesome. Got to get out of the cold great for the kids was a great family trip. Plus military get in for a great discount and families as well!

The zoo is close by so you can grab a two for 1 special with a loved one and enjoy the day.... the zoo is free on a Wed but the river tour is paid.

(July 19, 2022, 2:06 pm)Visiting Bronx River Forest through NYBG was a great experience. Great trip for people of all ages. Accessible via mass transit, Metro North, and car. Free entrance on Wednesday's. There's a vast area to take nice walks and hikes. Nice displays of nature's botanical gardens. There are restaurants and a very nice gift shop. If you're into photography there's a multiple of areas to take awesome pics.

(May 12, 2022, 4:19 pm)I recommend if you go with children to go early when it opens, we really enjoyed it when we took our grandson, at the end of our tour, we took the garden tram! Perfect time for peonies, azaleas, and lilacs.
Admission is free on Wednesdays regardless of residency between 10-11am. Check their website for details! -

(April 23, 2022, 6:46 am)Free on Wednesdays! The early sessions are less crowded. It's big and hard to see all in one outing. Need COVID vac cards as of the writing of this review.
