I have owned my saddle for almost two months now, and I am delighted with how it turned out. Not only is the saddle absolutely gorgeous, with such beautiful details in the tooling, but it is also the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in. Bullseye (My Horse) seems to love it too. He is no longer getting cinch sores, and the saddle stays in place; this is saying a lot, as I went through six saddles in less than a year. I appreciate both Kate and Staci, plus team for working closely with me for months to ensure my horse, and I received the best product possible. I highly recommend AMTS saddles to anyone who wants to keep their horse and self comfortable.

Fall has arrived here in the Tetons and its been 5 months since I my new saddle arrived. This photo is from the first ride I took with it. In that time I have ridden in it so much, between my guiding at Linn Canyon Ranch and for my own pleasure, it has started to get some serious patina! I love, love, love this saddle! So much so that I’m going to order another one for my other horse. I’ve searched high and low and I don’t think there’s another company out there that makes a saddle of this quality for the price. I love that it's light, at least 10 pounds lighter than the ranch saddle I was riding in before, incredibly durable and well made. I put the saddle I use to the test riding deep canyons, big mountains and doing multi-day trips in which I need to tie on all kinds of gear. It was also super important to me that the saddle I buy for Diggety fit her really well because I ask a lot of this horse and she really gives me a lot in return. Last, but not at all least, this saddle is gorgeous. I’m proud to own it and hope to get many more years of good use of it.

"Here’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it. I’m in my mid seventies and have ridden all my life, so I’ve had a few saddles. When I began researching a company to make me a saddle, Allegany was the only one that had numerous forms to try. More than 10 if need be! The time was worth it and I know I have the very best saddle for my 24 yr. old horse.

I ride in the mountains of NE Washington State with steep hills and 4 ft. banks to deal with on every ride. Because of the flared front, shortened length and width, and the weight, Rain goes down hills now much more easily and confidently. That in turn makes me more confident as a rider. She’s always had a slightly sensitive spot on her back which has disappeared. Her sweat pattern is even all the way around. The three point rigging is everything I wanted. The saddle stays put. I don’t have to tighten it as I used to before mid ride. That rigging frees up her front legs which helps her move better as well. No rear cinch to deal with anymore. The 4” cantle holds me in very well.

I can feel her body more now. With the skirt being smaller and the flares at her shoulders, and the rigging, she moves in a way that I have not felt prior to this saddle.

I have have had my saddle for a good six weeks plus so have had numerous rides, at least 11 or 12. I waited because I kept noticing things.
All said and done, Staci was delightful to work with and extremely knowledgeable. The whole experience was pleasurable and easy. Lastly, it’s so much more comfortable than other saddles I’ve had. You’re closer to you horse and can feel them more easily. Try an awesome Allegany Saddle."

Extremely knowledgeable & competent in determining exact saddle tree needed for horse- easy process using "fit to be seen forms"- you take pictures and videos of your horse with the ten different forms representing saddle tree types. Rider gets to choose saddle style (Rancher, Wade, Endurance, etc ...) and personalize saddle with endless options- please review their web site for examples. They managed to perfectly fit my horse and me with a totally exquisite saddle- first one ever that stays in place, doesn't pinch her shoulders, or hit her in the loins due to her short back. l LOVE it- it compares to a custom saddle I have for the leather quality, stitching and symmetry; and it lets me be in a balanced ride position with my legs underneath me.
