Dr.Nicolova is a wonderful psychiatrist. For the poor reviews I read for people wanting to talk at length. You want a psychologist or a counselor. This Doctor gives a diagnosis and prescribes. She has taken excellent care of me with a great bedside manner.
As I read these reviews I’m confused and appalled!!! Dr. Maria Nikoloba has been a blessing for me and my family as well. Me being in the medical field and also a parent to a quadriplegic child appreciate how caring she has been. At any point I have a situation she has always handled and treated me like a human believe me I suffer from severe panic attacks and a lot to Handel but her conversations with me give me hope and yes I’m on medication but what counts is the encouragement and tools given by this wonderful physician to push me to keep going is what matters. Once I lost my work bag where my medication was not much when I called I wasn’t treated like a drug addict like half of these other physicians do!!!! Suburban psychiatric staff has always been kind to me and Dr. Nikoloba has always answers my triages super fast. She is a asset to there practice. I was Referred to her by a physician and nurse practitioner that I worked with and were also patient of hers. And that was the day that I finally met someone who understands and also gave me the time to figure out what was best for me to be there for my daughter and I’m great full for that. Mental health is real people and too many times we our not great full for enough for those who don’t judge in these times. I promote her to anyone who suffers From my condition. The office never makes me wait hours to be seen and everyone is always so nice. And if they say they will call back they do the same day. My experience now and to come will always be great. Thank you Dr Nikoloba and the staff.
Dr. Nicolova is a great doctor, she is always taking the time to ask how my family is. She asked that my husband write her a letter to get the family perspective on my mental status. If I tell her something is not working she is quick to fix it and wants me to follow up on 2 weeks rather then a month or two so she can track the medication. She even said to call her if I'm having and bad side affects. I did have to call her once and she called back after hours. To me she is a dedicated doctor that genuinely cares.
