We hired Al as our buyer's agent and he was an amazing realtor for us throughout the entire process. After meeting him, it was immediately clear that he would have our best interest at mind 100% and we were correct. We never felt as if he was pressuring us to put offers in to close the deal, take on more of a house than we could afford, or any of the other things one may worry about with a realtor. He was a genuine treat to work with, incredibly patient with us (it was our first house purchase), and made the entire process incredibly easy. His phone line was always open and any questions we had he seemed delighted to answer. He managed to help get us our home during the middle of the COVID crisis at a VERY good price. Every person he recommended to us (lawyer, mortgage company, home inspector, etc.) were amazing and probably the best in the business for their craft.

Al Ryer came to us highly recommended by a family who had sold their house through him 15 years ago. We were delighted to find a realtor who was so personable, down to earth and experienced.
There were several factors that made our sale unique and perhaps trickier than the average sale. For one, our house was owned by a group of siblings, so 6 us were involved in the multi-seller and bi-coastal transaction. And the house was sold during the Covid pandemic. Mr. Ryer made sure that everything went off without a hitch. We were pleased that Al had several excellent and reasonably priced local connections that came in handy, including an estate clean-up service and a lawn care service.
As part of his attention to detail and efficiency, Al picked up and delivered papers back and forth across town. He made sure that each of us out-of-towners had everything we needed online. He was always available for phone calls and texts. He checked on the house at regular intervals as none of us was available to do so. One afternoon he discovered a small problem, and with his connections had a technician there within the hour. Al stayed with the worker for the afternoon while it was repaired. We were amazed.
Al was immensely helpful when we got offers on the house. He advised us when to politely decline, and when to counter. He was knowledgeable and honest and we all felt comfortable. The negotiations were successful. The day before the closing, we still had not been able to get our sentimental upright piano out of the house as our arrangements had fallen through. Al made a few calls and found a family who was able to come over, load it up, and give it a good home. What a relief!
