Hunter Mountain Resort

I really want to love Hunter more but it’s usually way too crowded— you spend way too much time waiting for the lift rather down skiing down the slope. Maybe it’s better during the week. Avoid going there on weekends& holidays. They have a cute shop where you can get most gears if you forget something.

Hunter mountain is definitely for skiers and snowboarders who have been doing them for awhile. I went with 6 of my friends we were all beginners. I must say that the slopes were not crowded and for the most part it is clean. They have a nice rental crew inside. The lady where you get the boots and Timothy. I liked them both because they were so kind and accommodating.

The place has a cafeteria. I did not expect anything different from the selections. Typical burgers, fries, chili, and roast beef sandwich. They are pricey. A chili bowl cost me almost $13. So I suggest be prepared for that. Other than that, my friends and I had a great experience! Will definitely come back but would have to lodge as it was 2 hours away from where we live.

This spot has become one of my top attractions for fall colors. The mountains all around, with a trolley ride is just what anyone would want for wonderful fall foliage experience . Plus it’s one and half hour away from NYC in the Catskills area. Good overall experience .

Wow. Such a beautiful place. Absolutely stunning. We bought the lift tickets online which were priced well ($20 each). The ride was amazing, the views to die for. You can see for miles and all the different colors. There were a lot ofblittle shops/vendors set up so you can buy different things, food trucks. 😋 so good. Beer. Restrooms available. Dog friendly.
