After suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia for three years I had Microvascular Decompression Surgery five months ago. Dr. Michael Brisman performed the operation. I have not experienced an "electric shock" since prior to the procedure. My quality of life is better than it has been in years. Thank you Dr. Brisman !!

I stumbled upon this office while researching for a neurosurgeon in my area. I cannot thank the neurosurgeons at this office enough, especially Dr. Brisman. He handled each appointment with such great care and attention to detail. i owe this practice my life. Thank you.

Thank you doctors for your around the clock care. I already feel painless and cannot thank the doctors and great staff enough. I went for opinions around New York City and ended up on Long Island. Look no further, the best neurosurgeons around the world in one group right here in my neighborhood.

On March 9, 2008 - my brain aneurysm ruptured without warning. I was 22 years old, just out of college, and engaged to be married. I was blessed to land in the care of Dr. John Grant, my surgeon. The next day, he clamped the aneurysm during my long brain surgery. After a couple of weeks in the Neuro ICU, I was released with a new outlook on life. My husband and I got married later that year, as planned. We now have two sons, ages 6 and 2. I came out of this experience with a great appreciation for each day. I am also very grateful for Dr. Grant. He saved my life and took great care to keep my family updated. I owe a lot of who I am today, to him.

I was recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis and suffering terribly. Both of my hands and all fingers were numb and getting progressively worse, to a point where I could only lift a glass with two hands and that in itself was a task. My lower extremities were seriously affected and it was difficult to walk or even tie shoe laces. Someone recommended that I see Dr. George at NSPC and I did. Following an MRI, Dr. George discussed the seriousness of my condition with me and advised me that it was necessary to follow up with surgery. I discussed this matter with others and made the decision to go ahead with the surgery.

When the surgery was completed and I woke up in recovery, the first thing I remember doing was exercising my hands and fingers to see if there was any apparent change. To my surprise my hands and fingers were much better and over the course of about two weeks I started gaining most of the feeling back in my hands. I soon followed up with some physical therapy and today I can say my lower extremities are close to being back to total functionality.

I cannot thank Dr. George, and his entire team enough. Prior to the surgery I often wondered what if? What if this condition stayed with me for the rest of my life? Dr George provided me with the confidence and then the treatment I needed to get me back to normal, in a short period of time. I must say that it is such a nice feeling, looking back and then realizing my state of health today.
