Where else can you find 500 Acres of woods in the middle of Nassau County
This nature preserve is a hidden gem. It’s a big place and you can get lost on the trail if you make certain turns. Apparently there are some ruins here, but I haven’t found them yet.
It was a interesting and fun visit learning about it's history. I'd recommend it.
The trails here are not well marked but the woods are nice and there are horse trails. The boy scouts often have trips here. You will often find teenagers hanging out in the woods who can be rather loud so it's a little disruptive overall it's a nice place.
