Dr. Upadhyay is the best optometrist I have ever encountered. I have a lot of eye issues--need trifocals with prisms-- but she is unfailing in her ability to determine the most comfortable and precise prescription. I'm astonished by her skill and patience.
I had a prescription filled with another doctor's office--they used Zeiss lenses but Costco uses digital only. And I wanted Zeiss lenses. But their prescription was off--had non-stop headaches and felt as if I was looking through a fishbowl. Brought lenses to Dr. Upadhyay and she determined what was wrong. Immediate relief. I will only see Dr. Upadhyay for prescriptions from now on.

Dr. Upadhyay is the best medical professional that I have encountered in 11 years of living in New York City. Her office was incredibly clean and organized, I had very little wait time, she was extraordinarily cordial and absolutely knew her stuff! She took her time to explain everything to me and so I was able to understand things about my vision that I never have been able to before. She’s incredibly intelligent and just so lovely. I can’t wait to go back and see her again. What incredible service! I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Dr. U is a kind and patient Eye Dr. that I've been seeing for a couple years now. They are located inside Costco which is great - I get my shopping and my eyes checked ! I just went to see her and she is good about sanitizing the office after each patient. She also goes above and beyond - I needed contact lenses but because my prescription expired she couldn't update my prescription until she saw me so in the meantime she sent me a pair to get me by until I got to see her! Her receptionist Claribel is efficient, and friendly!! Thank you!

Dr. U is wonderful! For several years I had issues with my contacts. I tried more eye doctors than I care to remember (including some really pricey and swanky places in Manhattan). Dr. U finally sorted the issues out and I've been seeing her annually every since. Very pleasant manner too.

Dr. U is the most professional, thorough and compassionate doctor in all of NYC. I know this from personal experience as DR. U saved my life. I have utilized DR. U for three years for eye exams for my wife and I when Dr. U discovered that my optic nerves were severely swollen. she immediately sent me to NY Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan for opthalmic review and MRI. Five days later, I had emergency surgery to remove a tumor from my brain. Fast forward, my vision is perfect and I am back to normal. Dr. U is a hero!!!!! I recommend her without hesitation.
