The New York Sewing Center is a great location with awesome professionals to help get you started in the sewing industry or if you would like to continue learning. My son took a few classes here and loves them. He won’t go to any other sewing center and the prices are great! One of the owners even honored a promotional discount that had recently expired. Only great things about this place! You should definitely give it a try!!!!
Can't recommend The New York Sewing Center highly enough! The teachers are knowledgeable, patient, and friendly and the space is welcoming. I took the in-person Sewing 101 Bootcamp (1-Day), which was a great introduction for an absolute beginner (and I still use the bag we made in class all the time!). I've since taken some private lessons which have allowed me to choose what we focus on and go at my own pace. Can't wait to take more lessons here!
I absolutely love the New York Sewing Center. In the Sewing 101 class they took me from complete beginner to making bags and garments with zippers and pockets. I marvel at how much I learned and how truly enjoyable the class was. Even more, everyone who works there is kind, patient, and incredibly skilled. They gave me so many great tips and made me discover a passion for sewing. It’s so useful now to be able to take the Sewing 102 class as needed when I have questions and issues with my projects. It has also been so special taking these classes with fellow queer people of color who were taking classes there as well. I highly, highly recommend the New York Sewing Center!
I took my daughter and my niece to a beginners class at The New York Sewing Center and they had the best time! Chloe was awesome in accommodating a date for them. Once at the center, the teachers were kind and patient with teaching. The girls left feeling confident and continued to make several bags at home for their friends! They both hope to go back for their one week summer camp. The commute into the city is the only downside for us— I wish they would open up a Brooklyn location so the girls could really dive into the sewing experience with professionals. Thank you ladies!!
I’m so happy that I’ve found this beautiful sewing center right in the heart of the Garment District in Manhattan! This place is beautiful and is extremely accommodating to all of your designer needs! I’ve needed a sewing space to finish up a few prom dresses for my clients, and the ladies here have been extremely accommodating and had open availability for studio time the same day that I needed to use the design studio!
Everyone is extremely nice and willing to assist with any needs that you may have. I highly recommend this space for independent fashion designers that need a beautiful and professional work space!
The quality and pricing is AMAZING for studio time! I would highly recommend this center for creatives and also new students that would love to learn how to sew!
This sewing center is so warm and welcoming! I would highly recommend their services! 5 STARS! Thank you again so much for always accommodating me, I truly appreciate this sewing center sew much! :) xx
