Super professional and reliable. Honest. Prices are fair, too, and with very good turnaround. I’ve had several LF shutters serviced by them and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
I've taken my Hasselblad to three different continents in 2021, and even started 2022 half way across the world-- but when I noticed issues popping up I wanted someone nearby to repair it. I'm so thankful I gave Nippon Photoclinic a shot. They repaired the camera body and the lens. They are well worth the money and turn around time was about a week. The repairman is up front with you and will tell you if a camera is worth saving or not; these negative reviews seem to be driven by emotion or attachment to a camera that's not worth the repair. I brought him a seized Canon New F-1 and he told me if I had bought it recently to just return it because it was not worth repairing. He was honest and clear, so I followed his advice and did so. Excellent service. Great communication. I will be coming back in the future for CLAs.
I have a Contax T2 that had fungus in the lens and sent it to Nippon for repair. They were speedy to notify me when they received the camera in the mail and how much it was going to cost. I was surprised that they were able to replace the whole lens element. They were quick to reply when I had questions and they even fix other things for free. I'm super happy with their service. Hopefully I'll never have to work with them again, but if I do, I'll have full faith in them. Thank you again!
