Can buy a variety of roof rack mounts and have it installed and drive away with your new water toy! Great staff and will put the boat if your selections in their on-site pond to try out the fit and glide so you can decide what’s best for you. I love my Eddyline Caribbean 12FS sit-on-top kayak for easy in and out, and received many compliments on it. The longer the glide the less my shoulders had to work. I no longer have pain in my shoulder and working on a new lighter paddle too!

A long time family run business. A huge inventory of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Solid individual attention. I was there close to four hours. And in addition to being able to try out boats right on their little pond, they completely outfitted my car with racks and equipment they themselves have engineered to aid in transporting boats.

Yes, we took on the tremendous task of buying kayaks during a pandemic with all sorts of supply chain issues. Our extensive research showed that the boats we wanted were in high demand for the few available. But, Mark at Oak Orchard made our purchasing experience easy! We purchased two Eddyline Equinox kayaks and gladly drove the 6 hours each way from Reston, VA, to get them. Did you know that if you are committed to buying a boat, Oak Orchard will accept a deposit to hold it just in case you change your mind about the model when you get there and try it out? Oh, and yes, you can "try before you buy." Mind-blown!!! Even in a pandemic, the customer service at Oak Orchard is stellar. Mark provided excellent advice on carriers, so we felt tremendously secure transporting our boats during the road trip. I especially appreciate that while Oak Orchard has a fantastic inventory of paddles, Mark encouraged us to try a range of price points and weights. Ultimately, we settled on the Aqua Bound Tango and couldn't be happier... because when we go out, we stay out. The 23 oz Tango is so worth the price! We paddled the two days immediately following our road trip and loved the Tango's featherweight and efficiency. (And, already we're planning this weekend's trip!) Mark assumed right; if we were buying Eddylines, quality and longevity are essential. With all that we purchased--Eddyline kayaks, Aqua Bound paddles with paddle bags and cockpit covers by Oak Orchard--we more than got our money's worth. Zero regrets, only great paddling ahead.
