2nd Review as they deserve to be promoted after year went again to eat tacos as delicious as they used to be and burrito was too good, keep up the good work, until next time.
Must Try if you’re close by, if you missed it take exit Jericho tpke and come back.
You don’t know what you’re missing.
Tacos and Quesadillas are really really really delicious.
Got food from here for the first time. The torta was really good. Bread had right amount of crunch and no sogginess. The spiciness elevated the whole flavor. Chicken empanada was low key okay. I have had better ones. Salsa and chips good portion. They do have their own delivery service, so use their website if you like.
Discovered this gorgeous little restaurant in the area, I’ve been wanting to visit ever since I saw their store in Astoria. Have been a few times now, very reasonable prices for what you are receiving. I’ve ordered their birria tacos, chicken quesadillas, tortas, horchata and tried their tres leches cake too. My thoughts……
- while the food is definitely more home style and offer more traditional Mexican dishes like chilaquiles, the tacos and quesadillas are missing depth of flavour, although getting these during their lunch specials is worth it.
- lunch specials in general are great value and you can opt to get horchata (specials include a drink), which was awesome!
- the horchata…. Forewarning, it’s the Mexican version so it’s not vegan friendly, it has condensed or evaporated milk in it. To non-vegans, this makes for an awesome treat, tastes like tres leches in liquid form! :D
-tres leches cake is very big for $5. Their one is very heavy and sweet so it’s best shared between 2 people.
- the reason for my continuous visits……the tortas! Let me tell you….I’ve tried their chicken, steak, mexicana and al pastor. EVERY SINGLE ONE was delicious and filling. My favourite was definitely the mexicana, I would recommend omitting the cheese since it doesn’t do much flavour-wise and is a bit overwhelming. The little sauce it comes with just makes it perfect. The telera bread is phenomenal and they toast it so perfectly, giving it a slight crunch. The sandwiches are hefty so it was easily 2 sittings.
Worth the visit!! :D
This is such a wonderful place, absolutely amazing food. Authentic, reasonably priced and extremely well seasoned.
Fairly spacious with a friendly staff, both Spanish and English speaking.
Highly recommend the steak and pastor tacos, finished off with a slice of fresh tres leches cake and you're sitting pretty! Absolute must try in the area.
