Able to Learn
(June 25, 2023, 1:51 pm)I asked Google maps to give me hiking in pine Forest near me. It was great! However, the entry sign board had no map or designation of which trail or how long or what to see.

(November 24, 2022, 9:33 pm)Taconic Ridge State Forest is a BEAUTIFUL place to go hiking. I was a downhill college ⛷️ racing team coach in the nearby Amherst/Northampton area, and we'd do a LOT of pre-snow season conditioning hikes here, as well as some cross-country training also.

(July 23, 2021, 11:32 am)It was a nice trail. Mostly in the forest. The first part is the hardest. It was really muddy when I went. There are a lot of springs that cross the trail but they did a nice job of putting water bars in. I posted a picture that is a nice clearing off the trail for sightseeing. It was right at the beginning of the trail. There are blueberries and raspberries this time of year in the trail 👣 u can also find tons of mushrooms. There is a sign at the beginning of the trail that says to leave the flora and fauna alone. You can bring your dog if you keep it on a leash. This trail is cool because it runs the borders of Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont. Enjoy!
