A secluded and beautifully unexpected retreat. We were the only ones on the property at the time, and it was so serene to walk through. I am not Buddhist by any means, but I appreciate other religions immensely, and this spot was great for those of any religion.
Beautiful 💜🙏🏽 Also really appreciate that dogs aren't allowed here.. it's very peaceful
This place sits in a very secluded location, the minute you step foot on the property you feel the utmost peace and tranquility. You can walk the prayer path, sit under trees, admire the Koi pond, even enter the temple. This place is a secret treasure, please be respectful when visiting and it's a guarantee that you will leave with a clear mind.
Always one of my favorite places to visit. Tonight we were invited in for the evening prayer. This place is always so tranquil and a great place to escape the chaos of life. I try and visit throughout the year and each season. No matter how many times I've visited I'll never tire of it.
On one hand, I hesitate to write much of this, for fear it would be crowded; on the other, may it BE that we all take pilgrimages into peace, hold it, grow it, share it, and visit this place of peace again for a refill ❤️
The Grafton Peace Pagoda is one of a kind. Well, technically, one of two unique Peace Pagodas in the US!
And you'd never know it was there! The words, "out beyond right and wrong, there lies a field..." come to mind. In this case though, it's out beyond Troy, and Brunswick, Cropseyville and even Grafton, down a long dirt road or two, deep into quiet forests, your GPS will tell you that you've arrived. There's a small parking area on the roadside opposite the entrance, and you can either walk on the straight even pathway directly to the grounds of the Peace Pagoda, or take the specially designed woodland trail, to begin taking on a (physically short) journey into the heart & mind of peace.
On the grounds, you'll find beauty, and feel a holy reverence.
