La Catrina of Westchester

Food is amazing. Definitely worth a trip to croton for original take on Mexican classics. Summer outdoor seating is great. Inside Could use a TV at the bar to entice a hangout crowd, some sorts vibes. Back room is sterile, maybe create atmosphere somehow to bring repeat crowd as the cocktails are incredibly good. This place just needs a vibe to bring in more outside croton folks, like what Fratellis has a a he'd up the street and they're way more expensive!

Really 4.5 but close enough.
We dined here last weekend for a late lunch and overall everything was great.
The drinks (margaritas) were made really well and I don't think it comes from a mix...if it does, whatever mix they use is fantastic.
The queso fundido appetizer was very flavorful, I just wish the cheese was melted more and hotter (temperature wise).
Our meals were also delicious and their three different salsas were all equally good.
My one complaint with my burrito was the unevenness. For example, all the birria was that the bottom, so the first half you got no meat and the last half it was just chunks of meat. There was also guacamole only in the first two bite, then no guac for the rest.
The dulce de leche churros were really good as well.
The only other miss was how hot it was inside. I don't know if the AC's were broken, but it got HOT in there.
Again, small misses, and we will most certainly be back!

We had a great time celebrating my birthday here! The drinks, food, and; most of all, the service were fantastic! Very unique use of an iPad for the menu. Enjoyed how it provided images and videos of each dish. Highly recommend!

Another outstanding meal here. I returned to bring my husband and try some more dishes off the menu, definitely a good idea! The burrito was huge and flavorful with a nice crisp outside to hold everything in, the sopa Azteca was yummy with a tomato bar and a good blend of flavors and the guacamole was fresh and spiced to perfection. I can't wait for my next visit!

The food was really good, it's different from other Mexican restaurants I've been to, more delicate and intricate flavors, hard to explain. Their drinks were good but expensive. The service was good, could have been little better.
