Squint Optometry

I don't usually post reviews but Squint's overall service is outstanding. I had heard good things from Dobbs Ferry residents but then my insurer, VSP, pointed me to Squint so we tried them. My daughter and wife both picked up 2 things that they were very happy with including the quality of the lenses and frames. The selection is great too. With insurance my daughter's prescription Ray Bans were very inexpensive.

For me, I had to replace two progressive frames. Regular and sunglasses. For eyeglasses, I had to replace NIKE progressives that I was really attached to. The first thing I looked at were MODO frames. I liked them right away them and they had a smaller size avaliable as well that fit me better. Quality seems better than most and they are super light weight.The progressive lenses are amazing. The best I've had by far and insurer covered most of that.

Without any insurance left I had to replace my NIKE sunglasses & was extremely particular about any replacement. Since I was looking for an older style, I couldn't find a progressive frame in the store. Deb and Ken were very flexible and patient with me and made sure I was able to order the frames that I wanted. I got polarized mirrored lenses and they are amazing. The mirror coating color is an exact match to the lenses I showed them. W/O insurance, pricing was very good on these . Definitely very competitive compared to other Rivertowns shops.

I have been wearing glasses and contacts for 40 years (yikes) and have been more pleased with Dr Debra Bernstein's services at Squint than any other business of this nature. She gets the prescription right, everytime! She takes as much time as it requires to complete her thorough and thoughtful exams, not just for correct prescription, but for lifestyle and preferences. I recently brought my 15 year old to her for her first glasses, and Dr Bernstein related so well to my teenager, and she left feeling good about getting glasses and liking the ones Dr Bernstein helped her choose. Not an easy feat with a 15 year old! Response time is quick and customer service is excellent. Top notch optometrist and well run business. Go!
