Great experience and knowledge. One of the best schools in the USA!
I love practicing TaeKwonDo with my two daughters! GrandMaster Lee and Shin , Master Arnold and Master Pena are the best team we could ever ask for ! In order to built excellent physical condition and self defense , needs patience and good instructors to show you the way ! Here you can find it all ! And if you’re older than 35 and still thinking of it , stop now ! It’s never too late ! I started late too and now I’m about to get my 2nd DAN ! 🥋🥋
I love Hwarang TKD. It feels like my family. I love that I am learning great self defense techniques and I am training for competitions. This place rocks!
I have taken classes here since I was 3. HTKD feels like a second family and the masters & grandmasters have taught me skills to become a better martial artist & a better person.
Taekwondo is one of the most popular sports in the world and rightly so. At its best, a dojang (TKD studio) has something for everyone. Hwa Rang Taekwondo of White Plains is the best example of this. For young children it promotes friendship, gentle -- yes! gentle! -- discipline and focus; for older kids and teens it has that plus group cohesiveness, and teaches self control as well as continuing to develop TKD skills; for adults it has the physical exercise plus the pleasure of seeing a path of improvement unroll; and for seniors it has the pleasures of constantly learning something new and improving balance, strength and focus. Hwa Rang Taekwondo in White Plains is under the leadership of two exceptional people: Grandmasters Shin and Lee are the heart and soul of the place. They lead by example of kindness and discipline; they know each of their students and what they need to keep improving; they have patience and optimism. Master Arnold leads classes that are focused and organized so that each student gets the attention he or she needs and yet is helped to feel part of the group. If your child wants sparring or to compete they have programs for that. If you want to focus on the forms -- poomses -- they have that. Whatever the path, the most amazing thing is that you and your child will be on a path that engages both mind and body and improves focus, discipline, balance and self confidence --qualities which transfer from the TKD dojang to your life. My recommendation is that you call Master Ruthie Kuhn at the dojang and make a plan to join us. Whatever your age...don't wait to join!
