Compassion was lacking in regards to a dying family member by certain nursing staff HOWEVER with the help of an amazing woman at the information desk, the Hospital President Mark Gordon and Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Jordan personally stepped in and and were able to provide my family with a priceless encounter at their hospital. I imagine that they do not deal often with individuals that come and go but if the rest of Moses Cone staff in Burlington could follow their lead, this hospital would not have such a poor rating. Unfortunately, hospitals becomes large organizations based on numbers instead of individual care. These 3 people really demonstrated what true human compassion looks like and should strive to become in a hospital setting. I am forever grateful to them!

I brought my 5 year old in as he was having trouble breathing. He was immediately taken back and taken care of. Dr. Brown is amazing. My son had croup and the nurses and staff were so friendly and amazing.

This is the second time I’ve had to bring my son to the ER and both times he was seen immediately and the staff was excellent.

I’m so grateful for the staff that works the night shift and for their families as they are missing out on spending time with their families due to being at work to help mine.

For visits in 2020 & 2021, including 2 surgeries this year & an over night stay:
Really awesome staff & front desk people.
Clean. Yes, there are longer wait times in the ER due to covid 19 BUT the staff has to address more urgent patients FIRST.
