  The food here is AMAZING! I felt like a child eating my grandma's yams again. I will definitely be making the trip from matthews to here! The food is flavorful, hot, and reasonably priced!

  The food was AMAZING! The portions was so large I knew instantly that I needed a to go box. The fish was fresh and hot right out of the grease! The collards and yams reminded me of my Nanas good old home cooking. I will definitely be back!

  Excellent meal at a nice facility. Catfish, mac n' cheese, and candied yams were fantastic. My wife had some croaker, collard greens, and fried okra which she enjoyed. We will be back again for sure.
  To the person who was upset about be asked to leave for loitering at a PRIVATE business: I can't say for sure whether you need Jesus, but I can say unequivocally that you need a sanity check. This is America and it is the owners property; if you were not wanted, it was time to go.

  I am from Alabama. The food reminded me of both of my grandmothers' and my mom's cooking. The fried pork chops, soul roll, greens, and cornbread were immaculate. Simply delicious. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic building.

  Food was really good. Most items are pricey. My family would eat there again just not often. They have a awesome new location. Everyone was very polite.
