  Z really went above and beyond with my car. I brought it in with a laundry list of things due to the age of the car. He listened and saw that I really wanted to get it back to road worthiness the right way. Upon fixing some of the items, other issues were unearthed, which was expected on a car from the 80s. He was diligent and kept me informed along the way. Great service and you can tell he takes pride in his work. These guys are really car enthusiasts.

  I can’t recommend Z enough. Right after moving to Raleigh my AC died and I wasn’t able to locate the problem. I saw Z was located near me and had good reviews and was known to take care of this kind of problem. Moving to a new area I wanted to be able to find a mechanic I could trust. I really lucked up with Z as he was very honest and actually took the time to personally show me what was wrong and how they would fix it. Best service from a mechanic I’ve ever had. Will definitely go back to him for any future problems.

  Z-Mech Auto is the greatest shop in its class, no doubt! As a Mercedes-Benz owner, I never really felt comfortable taking my car to other general mechanics that worked on typical daily drivers. Z is the best at what he does and his knowledge and passion for these luxury European cars shines through in his exceptional work. I was frustrated with a recurrent check engine light problem that other places charged me a small fortune just to diagnose and most would only reset the light without fixing the issue because they didn't know enough about the car or couldn't pin point the problem. Z ran the diagnostics on the car at no charge and was the first to tell me exactly what was wrong with the car and what should be tuned up on it to take it from drivable to optimal! He uses the highest quality products with the highest quality service and is straight forward and more than fair with the pricing. Moreover, he is lightning fast and had my car ready far sooner than I could have imagined! 5 stars just isn't enough for the experience that I have had with Z and his shop and I wish I could give him more! I will not hesitate to recommend Z-Mech Auto to anyone and I am proud to have found the mechanic for my chariot!

  Best mechanic in Raleigh, by a long shot. Z is extremely knowledgeable and can figure out anything that is going on. He is very honest and fair about his pricing. He tells you exactly what needs to be done, and how much it will cost, and does not try and talk you into anything you don't actually need. That in itself will keep me going back to him for as long as we are within driving distance. He guarantees his work, and he means it. I feel lucky to have found such a great business to work on my cars.

  I have been coming to Z-Mech Auto for car repairs and services on my VW Passat since 2009. Just recently I had severe multiple cylinder misfires that even the VW dealership couldn't pinpoint the problem. Z and his crew were able to diagnose and fix the problem with a great strategy of trial and error with a VERY low price of labor for all the work they did, and this has been consistent from the beginning. They take their time and do not rush through their work. Thanks to Z, my car is back and running like new again. This is absolutely the best auto repair shop I've had experience with over the years, and I highly recommend Z-Mech to anyone including their family and friends. Thanks again!
