Allen & Son Bar-B-Que

Allen & Son has been consistently great over the years. We like their BBQ and especially like their catfish. Good sides too! It seems that there aren't as many Carolina BBQ restaurant's around this area anymore, so I'm glad to have Allen & Son nearby.

Some of the most flavorful barbeque I've ever had. It was very tender and not overly vinegary. Others mentioned the lack of smoked meat which if that's a concern to you then this isn't your place but if you can get past that you won't be disappointed.

My girlfriend had the fried catfish and that was very good as well. Biggest iced teas I've had in years, too!

Definitely not smoked pork. But if you like chopped vinegar Eastern Carolina style pork it's good. Fries were some of the best in the region. Staff is all over it with service.

Highly recommend this place. It was my first time here has super good food catfish sandwich was awesome and freshly cooked will be back and recommend to other people. Nice people as well. The only bad thing I see is the owner could least invest some of that money back into the building. So it will last longer. But I enjoyed it thanks

Cute, country lunch place. They are known for their pulled pork, but their cheeseburgers are good, too! IMO, the best thing in their menu is their fresh cut fries-they’re delicious!

They have outdoor & indoor seating options, along with a takeout window.
