Siler City Drivers License Department

OMG I drove from Greensboro and it was so worth it just for the simple fact the people who work in this office are NICE & don't speak to you like they hate their job and wish you didn't walk in the door.

Overall staff is nice, even funny, once you get to talking with them, very un-DMV like. The greater was very pleasant, and was this way for every person she interacted with, even the people that she had to turn away trying to get a walkin appointment. This will be my DMV go-to place, I drove over an hour to get here (I live in Wake County).

Expect to wait outside still until the staff calls you in for your appointment. Chances of getting a walk-up appointment are rare, there are usually few spots; even you get one, expect to wait behind all the people with appointments to be served first. Expect a long lead time for getting an appointment, it may vary depending on what you are trying to get (I got a REALID driver's license) This had the shortest wait time when I looked online (1.5 months).

Very good customer service. Really reflects southern hospitality. I was seen at 8:35 for my 8:30 appointment. They do not take walk-ins as it looks like only a couple people work there (there are literally only two stations). when I left close to 9, there’s quite a line building up outside so expect a wait. This is the first dmv office where I felt like I was treated very well. The two people working today are very efficient and know what they are doing.

This place was busier than I thought it would be. We had an appointment and were called within 15 minutes of our appointment time. They were very quick to get folks checked in and called for their appointments even walk ins. The supervisor is the sweetest lady.

I don't like not remembering names of good people at their jobs, but I will get in a better habit of it the more I like writing reviews for them. Having to drive all the way in from Morrisville earlier today (because my out of state tags were to expire at the end of this month), having made an appointment, the woman who helped me today was top notch. Both very efficient and courteous, and sincerely had a better memory than me remembering all of the details of all of the people's needs there at that time.🙂👍🏼 Here's to another 10,000 steps!
