Currituck Maritime Musuem

Maritime Museum with boat displays, next to the public restrooms for the park.

They have odd hours for a museum in a tourist area but outside of that it was an awesome stop during our time there!

This is a nice local museum highlighting the history of the past few generations living and working here. There are relatively few physical artifacts, but they make up for it with a lot of great oral history and video interviews. Good examples of different types of boats built and used here. And it's free!

Very cool little museum! Takes you through the history and culture of the area.

What a great addition to the other museums in the area that interpret the local area. I learned so much about some of the local boat makers and was able to see some of their work.

They have some benches around the small museum, however, I it would be more helpful to have them at the stations where they have videos. As someone with limited mobility and walk with a walker, it was a challenge to make it around the museum.
