Wake Forest Baptist Health - Davie Medical Center

First let me say - I love Davie Medical Center. It is my choice location for all of my appointments when ever possible. The visit today was spoiled by other patients and their family members NOT properly wearing their masks. People would wear them correctly into the building then once they got to the
waiting rooms they either completely took off their mask or slid it down to their chin. Not one staff member requested that the person properly wear their mask and the waiting chairs are not six feet apart. I was very disappointed and hope the staff get some management encouragement to enforce the policy.

Escorted my mother there due to some chest tightness and feelings of pain on right side. Doctors and RN Stacie Very Attentive! Doctors were informative about blood work, Scans, and Healthcare. Thank Goodness it wasn’t anything serious. The Doctors instructed Bedrest and to Stay In for a Week or More, depending how she felt. Fortunately, she’s not in pain.
I wanted to Thank All The Staff At Davie for Closely Monitoring My Mama that late evening. I was concerned as she’d been complaining over 3 days of chest tightness and discomfort.

After driving 2.5 hours to get here, it was nice to find it's easy parking. Walking in the door we are always greeted by an employee or volunteer. Registration is always quick. Dr Long is phenomenal!! Because of her we continue to make the 5 hour round trip to see her. The surgical unit and MRI staff are professional.

Last week I heard a CODE over the loud speaker. I was shocked to see how many employees run to the entrance of Plaza 1. We were in Plaza 2. At least 20 from 2 ran to 1. Plus employees from Plaza 1 went running too.

7/2020 Dr Long moved out of state. She is dearly missed.

After providing care for both of my parents since 2004 to 2017 I was at a lot of hospitals for a lot of different reasons. The Davie County medical center of Wake Forest University is by far the most amazing, wonderful hospital that have ever rxperienced. I truly believe that the people that work here care about me and want me to be healthy and able bodied. It really feels like the facility has a comprehensive team of people working well together to achieve the goals of their patients. I will plan to return to this hospital if I need to be this level of care after experiencing this superior quality of care.
